Randall Kampsen, age 48 of Belgrade, died unexpectedly at his home on April 18, 2012. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Visitation will be 3:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday at the church and for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home.

Randall Ronald Kampsen was born on February 16, 1964 in Sauk Centre, the son of Herman and Delores (Hess) Kampsen. He grew up on the family farm near Elrosa and attended Belgrade High School. On November 22, 1986, Randy was united in marriage to Cheryl Koenig in Sauk Centre. To this union two sons and two daughters were born. They made their home in Belgrade where he worked various jobs throughout the area.
Randy enjoyed working outdoors, fishing, country music and scrapping iron. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and was extremely proud of his children.
Randall died unexpectedly at his home on April 18, 2012 at the age of 48. He is survived by his children, Dustin Kampsen, Brittni Kampsen, Austin Kampsen (special friend, Samantha) and Kelsey Kampsen (special friend, Andrew); their mother, Cheryl Kampsen; granddaughter, Haylee Kampsen; parents, Herman and Delores Kampsen; siblings, Margie (John) Bacis, Tom (Annie) Kampsen, Kay Kampsen, Kenny Kampsen, Michael (Kathy) Kampsen, Karen (Tom) Goerger, David (Kim) Kampsen, Joyce (Keith) Haider, Danny Kampsen and Amy Kampsen and numerous nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles.
