LaVerne I. Berg, 95, of Willmar, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Bethesda Pleasantview in Willmar.  Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Monday, September 10, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Chapel in Willmar.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.

LaVerne was born on March 19, 1917, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Anderson) Ronning.  She attended Montevideo Public Schools, graduating in 1934.

On September 22, 1940, she was united in marriage to Victor Berg in Montevideo.  Following their marriage, they lived in Montevideo, Fergus Falls and St. Paul before returning to Montevideo.  While working, LaVerne worked for the ASCS office as a customer representative.  After retiring, LaVerne and Victor moved to Willmar where they have lived for the past 25 years.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ruth Circle and volunteered with the Altar Guild.

Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Victor; daughter, Gwynne (and John) Anderson of Spicer; Greg (and Susan) Berg of Minneapolis; four grandchildren, Kari (and James) Halbur, Kristen (and Michael) Lieberman, Jonathan and Christopher Berg; four great grandchildren, Simone and Harvey Lieberman and Simon and Sydney Halbur.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
