Michael Roden, 53, of Danube formerly of Grove City, died unexpectedly September 5, 2012 at the Sanford Tracy Medical Center. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Burr Oak Cemetery in rural Grove City. 

Michael John Roden was born on January 28, 1959 in St. Cloud, the son of Roger and Nancy (Beckers) Roden. He grew up in Sauk Rapids, Buffalo, Clear Lake and Grove City where he attended high school and graduated in 1977.  After his schooling he entered the US Army and later attended Ridgewater College and St. Cloud State where he studied mathematics, computer science and electronics.  He was currently living in Danube and working for Charter Communications as a CLI Technician.  He was a member of Minnesota Mensa and enjoyed playing Frisbee, telling a good joke, all types of games and anything to do with math.  He loved spending time with his children, sister and niece. 

Michael died on September 5, 2012 at the Sanford Tracy Medical Center at the age of 53.  He is survived by his children, Mathew Roden of Willmar and Kristina Roden of Willmar; siblings, Rosalie Rhinehart, Patricia (Bruce) Quinn, Helen Graff, Tammy (Tom) Warner and Kyle (Sylvia) Dalton; step-father, Richard Dalton and numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
