Beverly Kelley

Beverly “Bev” Ann Kelley, 91, of Willmar, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, died Monday, April 15th at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar. Her memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 20th at United Methodist Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org

Beverly Ann Kelley was born April 16, 1932, to Marvin and Agnes (Unger) Holifer. She grew up in Paynesville, where she graduated in 1950.

On November 22, 1950, Beverly was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Kelley. They were blessed with two daughters, Sharon and Patti.

Bev was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, and enjoyed singing in the choirs. During her working years she worked at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Office (ASCS), was a legal secretary for Johnson Schmidt and Thompson, and then finished her working years for Dr. William Naylor at WEAC for Willmar School District. Bob and Bev then moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1995.

Bev was very active and enjoyed daily swimming, playing bridge, golf, and piano, refinishing furniture and hooking rugs. Bev had a love for animals and was known to take care of many pets for friends. Bev enjoyed making the best fudge and pail pickles which she shared with family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Palmer of Willmar and Patti Kelley Fink of Minneapolis; two grandchildren, Matthew (Brenda) Palmer of Willmar and Abby Fink of Brooklyn, New York. She is further survived by two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Kera Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Agnes; husband, Bob in 1999; brothers Robert (Denise) Holifer and David Holifer; and her son-in-law, Michael Palmer in 2012.
