Gladys Susie Drexler

Gladys Susie Drexler, 89, of Willmar, died Monday, March 25, 2024, surrounded by family at her daughter's home in Baxter. Her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Gladys Susie Drexler was born July 16, 1934, to Henry and Angela (Kojetin) Frank in Danube. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bechyn. She graduated from Danube High School in 1953.

Gladys was married on November 3, 1955, to Carl Drexler at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, where they would make their home for their working careers. Gladys worked at the Renville County Hospital as a cook for 27 years. Gladys then moved to Willmar where she spent her retirement.

Gladys is survived by her children: Dale Drexler of Tacoma, WA, Dean (Kathy) Drexler of Willmar, Daniel (Andrea) Drexler of New London, Lori (Douglas) Stenberg of Baxter, Linda Drexler of Missoula, MT, Donna (Dan) Lauer of Northfield, John (Tanya) Drexler of St. Cloud; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Donald Frank, Betty Miller of Redwood Falls.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her daughter, Debra Lynn; daughter-in-law, Abelina and her great-granddaughter, Otillia. She is also preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Myron, Mary, and Henrietta.
