Adeline M Ahlstrand

Adeline M. Ahlstrand, 84, peacefully passed away on Thanksgiving evening, November 28th 2019, at home in Willmar, MN, surrounded by her loving family. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 6th at Refuge Church, 1000 6th St. SE, Willmar, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Addie was born on April 22, 1935 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Rudy and Bertha Linder. After graduating from Oak Grove High School in Fargo, ND she moved to Minneapolis where she soon met and married Loren E. Ahlstrand on August 20th 1955 in Minneapolis, MN. They resided in the Twin Cities area while raising four children, moving to New Ulm, MN in 1972 to own and operate the Red Onion/KFC. Addie and Loren later moved to Willmar, MN to be closer to their grandchildren.

Addie was beloved by many, a kind, gracious and loving person. She was devoted and ever present to her family, the sweetest, most caring and loving grandmother a child could ever ask for. She was a blessing to her family and friends and will be deeply missed. We are thankful that she is at peace and with the Lord. 

Addie is survived by her husband Loren, her children: Steve, Kari (and husband Bruce), Jolene, and Beth; her three precious grandchildren: Ethan Weber, Lilly Weber, and Bjorn Warner; her brother, Claude Linder, and sisters: Barb Berggren, Grace (and husband Jackson) Baker, Deno Sorrels, and Becky (and husband Ray) Foss; nieces: Claudia, Priscilla, Julie, Jessica, Becky, Angie, Susan and Lori; nephews: Todd, Scott, Eric, Paul, Aaron, Matthew, Jason, Greg, Garry and Dan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Beatrice Linder, and Sandy and Clara Leraas, brothers-in-law: Don Berggren and Aaron Sorrels; sisters-in-law: Elaine Webster and Bernie Linder.
