Bradley Gene Olson, 69, of Willmar died Sunday, September 1st at his home. His memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Friday at The Open Door Christian Church in Spicer. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm, Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue on Thursday, one hour prior to his service at the church. Bradley Gene Olson was born on July 27, 1950, in Hutchinson, the son of Donald and Doris (Beske) Olson. He graduated from Danube High School and continued his education at St. Cloud State University. Following his schooling, Brad returned to the Willmar area and started working at Willmar Welding and Boiler Repair, where he worked for many years. He would later work for the Department of Transportation in Weights and Measures. Brad was united in marriage to LaNae Johnson in Willmar. To this union two daughters were born, Tammy and Shannon. They built their home south of Willmar, where Brad enjoyed hosting family and friends for pool parties. He had a pristine yard and the pool was always crystal clear. They would later divorce. Brad enjoyed watching sports, especially the Vikings and Twins and also singing karaoke. He and his family were very close, they would always get together for birthdays and other special events where they would spend time with each other. Brad loved spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren and going to their many events.
Brad is survived by his daughters: Tammy Olson of Spicer and Shannon (Shawn) Bohlsen of Willmar; grandsons: Isaiah (special friend, Amanda Haik) Olson, Ethan (fiancée, Hannah) Bohlsen and Kaden Bohlsen; granddaughters, Libby and Hattie Bohlsen; mother, Doris Olson; siblings: Kevin (Pat) Olson of Monticello, Doreen (Mark) Cox of Wabasha, Jan (Donn) Peterson of Atwater, Rod (Molly) Olson of Crystal; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don, and brother, Brian Olson and nephew, Josef Cox.
