Carl Martin Just was born at home to Carl Edward Just and Clara Ernstine (Hartfiel) Just on November 12, 1929, in Boyd Minnesota. He was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Carl attended school in Clarkfield where he graduated in 1947. Growing up, Carl worked on his parent’s farm and continued to farm with them following his graduation. On September 13, 1952, Carl was united in marriage to Glenda Skindelien at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake. Carl became very active in the church, serving on the call committee, church council, and teaching Sunday school among many other activities. He was also active in the community serving on the Boards of the National Farmers Organization, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg School District, and Minnesota Corn Processors. He also served as a member of the Kandiyohi County FSA Committee, and the Zoning and Planning Committees. He was proud because he was able to hand all of his children their high school diplomas. Carl loved hunting, fishing, bowling, farming and spending as much time as he could with his family. He loved traveling to see each grandchild. He was a loving, honest, hardworking and tender-hearted man who had a great sense of humor.

Carl is survived by his children: Nancy Just (Brent Betterley), Donna Diedrich (Paul), James Just (Mona), Dennis Just (Christine); 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and sister, Anita VanVoorst (Hugh).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda, parents, five sisters, three brothers, and grandchildren Jodi and Angelique Diedrich.
