Carla Ann Bond

Carla Ann Bond, who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, 54, of Evansville formerly of Buffalo, died on Wednesday, May 15th at her home. Carla was born on December 2nd, 1964 in Montevideo, MN. She’s the daughter of Walter and Mavis (Zimmer) Bluhm. She was baptized and later confirmed her faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. She grew up in Clara City and graduated from Clara City High School in 1983.  Following high school, she attended Willmar Community College. On May 28th, 1988 Carla was united in marriage to Timothy Bond at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. She had two children (Casey and Christina) in their almost 31 years of marriage. They resided in Buffalo prior to moving to Evansville where she worked for Webb Insurance in Buffalo. 

Carla loved spending time with all of her family especially her 4 granddaughters (Aubree, Kinze, Caisyn, Maliya). She enjoyed flying with her husband Tim even though she was afraid of heights. She baked so many famous sweets like her peanut butter Cheerio bars that neither of her children could make because they never turned out the same. During the summer, she’d love going to the lake to fish, give tubers the ride of their life, playing games, and most importantly to have a nice cold drink. Lastly, she loved Snapchat. Everyone who had her on that knew everything that her and Tim were doing that day. 

Surviving are her husband, Tim; children, Casey (and Jessica) Bluhm of Litchville, ND and Christina (and Matthew) Mittag of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Aubree, Kinze and Caisyn Bluhm, and Maliya Mittag. Also surviving are her parents, Walter and Mavis Bluhm; brother, Myron (and Vonnie) Bluhm; father-in-law, Jerry Bond all of Clara City; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and mother-in-law, Elsie Bond. 

Please join us in celebration of her life on Monday, May 20th. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Her funeral service will proceed after the visitation at 6:00 PM. The burial will be in the church cemetery following the funeral. Arrangements have been made with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, Clara City. www.hafh.org
