Dawn Rindahl Obituary

Dawn L. Rindahl, 60, of Sunburg, died Tuesday, December 3rd at St. Cloud Hospital.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 7th at East Norway Lake Lutheran Church, rural New London with burial in West Norway Lake Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sunburg. Dawn was born September 15, 1959, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Olga (Olson) Anderson.  She was baptized on November 1, 1959 and confirmed in 1975 at Pilgrim Congregational Church.  Dawn attended Benson Public Schools and graduated from Benson High School in 1978.

On December 1, 1979, she was united in marriage to Loren Rindahl at Pilgrim Congregational Church.  Following their marriage, they lived on the Rindahl Homestead before moving to their current home in 1981.  Dawn had a fulfilling professional career in caring for others.  At first, while her daughters were home, she did daycare.  She then earned her CNA, LPN and later completed her RN Degree.  She worked at Bethesda Homes for 15 plus years, was Director of Nursing at Meadow Lane Healthcare Center in Benson, and was an RN at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.  Her most recent and rewarding passion was working as the RN Care Coordinator for LSS.

Her passion for life was evident in all that she did, even through her illness.  Dawn was a wonderful mother, extremely proud and happy grandma to three beautiful grandchildren, a precious daughter and a devoted wife to Loren.  Her sense of humor, hard work ethic and positive attitude will always be remembered.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Loren; daughters, Kristeen (and Shane) Kingsbury of Lennox, SD; Katie (and Joseph) Jackson of Duluth; grandchildren: Levi, Kianna, and Hattie; her mother, Olga Anderson of Glenwood and sister, Beth Peltier of Starbuck; her brother, William Jr. (and Angela) Anderson of Glenwood; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William; and in-laws, Bessie and Julius Huseby, James Rindahl and Lance Peltier.
