Dee L. Hubert

Dee L. Hubert, 65 of Spicer, died Monday, August 19, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the church and for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Lamberton City Cemetery in Lamberton.  Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in New London.                                   

DeAnn Lee Hubert was born on September 27, 1953 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Gerald and Violet (Melhus) Mahoney.  She grew up in Fargo where she attended South High School, graduating in 1971.  She worked in the jewelry business with Zales and later moved to Minneapolis and worked with JB Hudson Jewelry.  On February 4, 1983, Dee was united in marriage to Robert Hubert in Chanhassen.  They made their home in Chanhassen and Willmar where she worked in human resources for County Seat Stores and Advance Circuits until her retirement in 1999.  In retirement they made their home in Spicer and Surprise, Arizona. 

Dee was a member of Vinji Lutheran Church where she served on church counsel and Spirit of Grace Church in Surprise. She was an avid golfer and active in women’s golf league at Little Crow Country Club.  She also enjoyed reading interior decorating and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Dee  is survived by her husband, Bob of 37 years; sons, Scott (Veronica) Hubert, Michael (Katherin) Hubert and Bradley (Emily) Hubert; and seven grandchildren, Bentley, Hadley, Steven, Lukas, Ethan, Hailey and Lillian.  She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Jeffrey Tod; and brother, Michael Mahoney.
