Deloris Marlene Wellbrock was born October 28, 1935 in Montevideo to Henry and Dena (Wilts) Wellbrock.  She graduated from Brooten High School in 1953, and from the Willmar School of Practical Nursing, as an LPN, in 1954.  Deloris worked as a nurse at Lakeland Clinic, Rice Hospital, Kerkhoven Nursing Home, and Jenni O Foods.  During her 50+ years in nursing, Deloris trained, mentored, and was a role model for many young nurses. She was also an excellent nurse for her patients.  Following retirement, Deloris served for several years as a Hospice volunteer, which she greatly enjoyed.  She touched countless lives.

In August 1985, she married Leoyd Miller.  They farmed near Brooten, before moving to Games Lake, near Sunburg.  Following her husband’s death in 1995, Deloris continued to enjoy living at Games Lake.  In December of 2017, Deloris moved to an apartment at Copperleaf in Willmar, where she met a new “family” of friends.

Deloris was a member of the Belgrade VFW Post 1825 Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society.  She belonged to South Lake Lutheran Church in Brooten.  Deloris enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and fishing.  She enjoyed sewing and crafting gifts to give to others.  Deloris also enjoyed traveling, and was fortunate to make several trips all over the world with family and friends.

She is survived by 8 Stepchildren: Bruce Miller (Chris Fullerton) of Hayward, WI; Carol  (Jerry) Bengtson of Chaska;  Dean (Heide) Miller of Blaine; Duane Miller (Pat Wagenman) of Benson; Deb (Peter) Reutiman of Crystal; Joann (Kale) Kiyabu of Sierra Vista, AZ; Marie (Tony) Halls of Brooten; Glenn (Ann) Miller of Brooten; 9 Grandchildren: Mandi (Brian) Heiple, Tammi (Jeff) Barton, Kristi Bengtson, Steven (Christy) Reutiman, Lisa (Huy) Ngo, Jason (Nicole) Halls, Kari (Scott) Detloff, Peyton Miller, Jayden Miller; 10 Great-grandchildren: Adelaide, Bennett, Theodore, Alexander, Lucas, Austin, Cameron, Aiden, Sawyer, Nova; 3 Sisters-in-law: Janet Wellbrock, Florence Wellbrock, and Norene Miller.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Mildred Miller; and brothers, Ervin, Marvin, Delmar, and Richard Wellbrock.
