Jeffrey Cappelen Obituary

Jeffrey Allyn Cappelen, 68, of Willmar, died Saturday, October 12th at his home. A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #167. Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Jeff was born September 14, 1951, in Willmar, MN, the son of Allyn and Mary (Feeney) Cappelen. He grew up in Willmar where he graduated from Willmar High School. He served in the United States Air Force for a short time before being Honorably Discharged because of a shoulder injury. He continued his education and following graduation he worked at Rice Memorial Hospital for 40 years as a respiratory therapist.

He is survived by his son, Nick (and Katie) Curtis of San Antonio; three grandchildren; step-father, Herb Sharstrom of Willmar and siblings: Paul (and Carol) Cappelen; David (and Lisa) Cappelen; Kathryn (and Mike) Sasse and Nancy Lippert.

He was preceded in death his father and mother, Allyn Cappelen and Mary Sharstrom.
