Manuel De Jesus Levia-Reyes

Manuel De Jesus Leiva-Reyes, 70, of Willmar, died Saturday, September 14th. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 21st at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm, Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to his service. Burial will in El Eden, Cortes, Honduras. www.hafh.org

Manuel De Jesus Leiva-Reyes was born on July 24, 1949 to Justino Leiva and Cristina Reyes in El Eden, Cortes, Honduras. He attended school in Honduras and in 2002 he moved to Minnesota. Manuel started helping as a handyman on farms where he would pick rock and build silos among many different tasks. He was a hardworking. Manuel had 8 children, 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Often reciting the many jokes that he had. He also enjoyed watching soccer and teaching his family how to play. Manuel also enjoyed going to the casino, where he would walk around and drink his coffee. He also enjoyed walking and biking. He would often refuse rides because he enjoyed it so much. He was a loving father, grandpa and great-grandpa.

Manuel is survived by his seven children, 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Karen.
