Nicole Freitag

Nicole Michelle “Nikki” Freitag, 41, of Willmar, died Thursday, September 26th at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 2nd at Church of the Nazarene in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar. Nicole was born November 7, 1977, to Ronald Eugene Monnier Jr. and Paulay Rae (Howe) Bloomquist. She grew up in Willmar where she attended Willmar Public Schools. Later she moved with her mother to Atwater where she attended ACGC Schools.

Nicole married Scott Chadwick in November 1995, to this union four children were born. They later divorced.

In May 25, 2013, Nicole married Doug Freitag on the farm but became widowed in September 18, 2014.

Nicole enjoyed listening to country music, hunting, fishing, puzzles, and playing video games with her children. She also enjoyed going on vacations with her family, and taking care of the animals on the farm she shared with her late husband, Doug.

Nicole enjoyed her jobs and co-workers the last few years at both Walmart and a local KwikTrip.

Nicole is survived by her father, Ron Monnier of Wisconsin; mother, Paulay (and Wayne) Bloomquist of Belgrade; sister, Hope (and Scott) Rohland of Wisconsin, her half-sister, Cassie Monnier of Wisconsin, son, Jeffrey Chadwick of Olivia, daughter, Shayla Chadwick (and grandson, Matthew Scott Alan) of Withee, Wisconsin; son, Lyle Chadwick of Willmar; and her ex-husband, Scott Chadwick. She is also survived by her step-children Troy Freitag, Ryan Freitag, and Nita Freitag along with many step-grandchildren.

Nicole is preceded in death by her son, Matthew Chadwick and husband, Doug Freitag.
