Sharon Hulstein Obituary

Sharon Hulstein, 64, of Willmar, died on Monday, May 13th at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.  Her funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, May 17th at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm, Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. www.hafh.org

Sharon Marie Hulstein was born on August 2, 1954 in Adrian, Minnesota, the daughter of Orville and Ruth (Koeneke) Heidebrink.  She grew up in Rushmore, Minnesota and graduated from Worthington High School in The Class of 1972.  She was united in marriage to Wayne Hulstein on August 25, 1973 at Rushmore Church. The couple moved to Willmar where Sharon began working at Golden Stack and later managed restaurants in Willmar including Wendy’s and Taco John’s.  Two sons were blessed in this union.  Wayne passed away on July 7, 1992. 

Sharon continued to live and work in Willmar, retiring on August 21, 2012. 

She was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in rural Rushmore. 

Sharon enjoyed watching NASCAR, sports, bowling, and playing Bingo.  Her sons were very important to her, and she and Wayne where active with the boys in auto racing. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.  Sharon was a kind and gentle person, she always put the needs of others first.

Sharon passed away on Monday, May 13th 2019, at the age of 64 years.  She is survived by her parents, Orville and Ruth Heidebrink of Worthington; sons: Jason (and Amy) Hulstein of Willmar, Kevin (and Nicole) Hulstein on Mount Ulla, NC; five grandchildren: Carly, Eli, Ridgley, Noah, Quinn; brothers: Daryl (and Deb) Heidebrink of Cottonwood, MN, Stan (and Renee) Heidebrink of Rushmore, MN, Brian (and Laura) Heidebrink of Fergus Falls, MN and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends: Sandy, Dee and Mike. 

In addition to her husband Wayne, she was preceded in death by her grandparents.
