Sherne A. Wadsworth. 69 of Stacy died Friday, November 29, 2019, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in New London. Sherne Aldene Wadsworth was born May 13, 1950, in Belgrade, MN, to Lemuel (Kelly) Hiram and Gladys Evelyn Wadsworth. He graduated from New London High School in 1968. Sherne worked for Burlington Northern for 17 years and retired from Coca-Cola as a service technician in 2012, after 24 years of service.
Sherne married Julie Wadsworth on November 12, 1993. They resided in New London until 2002, when they moved to Stacy, MN. On March 30, 1991, Sherne found peace and salvation in Christ, the solid rock of Matthew 7: 24-27. He was in fellowship in the Hinckley Gospel Hall.
Neighbors knew Sherne as the guy who was always mowing or working on an outside project. He also enjoyed travel in the south in the winter, to other parts of the U.S. and to other countries including Israel, China, and Turkey. He had a keen interest in cars, military planes, and battleships, history, animals, collecting and nature. His vehicles were all named, Rosie, Ma, Pa, Minnie, Dumpy, Red, and Mazzie.
Sherne A. Wadsworth died on Friday, November 29, 2019, at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife, Julie; his sister, Cheryl (Ron) Kostreba; niece, Rhonda (Steve) Johnson; nephew, Steve (Cindy) Wadsworth; great-nieces and nephews, Danielle Wadsworth, Brandlyn Wadsworth, Dayo Wadsworth, Logan Wadsworth, Ryan Johnson, Caleb (Jordan) Johnson, Jared Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and Amber Hazledine.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Wadsworth; niece, Kim Hazledine; and nephew, Craig Hazledine.
