Thomas Reed Nesburg, 68, of Willmar, died Saturday, May 18th at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. His memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 23rd at Church of the Nazarene in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service. Burial will be at a later date at Hauge Cemetery in rural Franklin. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral home in Willmar. www.hafh.org
Thomas Reed Nesburg was born on September 12, 1950, in Sleepy Eye to Ralph and Lila (Pajari) Nesburg. He was baptized and later confirmed at Central Lutheran Church in Fairfax. He attended school in Fairfax and graduated in 1968. Tom furthered his education at Mankato State where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Tom started work as an independent appraiser, which he did for many years. Tom made his home in Willmar. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family gatherings and spending as much time as he could with family and friends. His nieces and nephews had a special place in his heart. Tom also enjoyed going to McDonald’s to visit with his friends.
Thomas is survived by his siblings: Nancy (Jon) Paulson of Ham Lake, Cindy (Dale Bushard) Walters of New Ulm, Sue (LaMar) Black of Fairfax, LuAnn (John) Timm of Springfield, and Rick Nesburg of Fairfax. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Josh Paulson, Jeremy Paulson, Jason Nesburg, Chad Nesburg, Ryan Nesburg, Amy Netzke, Heather Johnston, Alissa Thelen, Nicole Black, Carmen Hardin, Adam Timm, Heidi Kennedy, Naomi Davis, Katie Timm and Natalie Timm and many great-nieces and nephews and other family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lila Nesburg; siblings: Brian Nesburg and Greg Nesburg.
Tom’s family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors who did so much for Tom at ACMC in Willmar, Carris Health Rice Hospital and Bethesda Club Suites.
