Alecia Rosheim Obituary

Alecia M. Rosheim, 43, of Paynesville, passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Her visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 14, at Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville.

Alecia Marie Wertish was born October 30, 1981 in Fridley, Minnesota to James and Patricia (Willprecht) Wertish. She graduated from Annandale High School. After school, she joined the United States Army. Before completing her basic training, Alecia’s life took a new direction when she learned she was expecting her first daughter, Summer. In the years that followed, her family grew with the births of her children Neal, Christian, and Katana, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Over the years, Alecia worked hard in a variety of roles, including at Burger King, Valley Inn, and Avon Plastics. Through mutual friends, she met Michael Rosheim, with whom she shared a deep love and companionship. The two were married in Paynesville on July 22, 2011, and together built a life.

Alecia had a creative spirit and quiet passions that brought her joy. She loved reading, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. She also enjoyed crafts such as cross stitching and latch hooking, which reflected her patience and attention to detail.

Alecia will be remembered for her love of family, her resilience, and the warmth she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Rosheim of Paynesville; children, Summer Wertish of Melrose, Neal (Lynn) Wertish, Christian Wertish, and Katana Lunsford, all of Paynesville; granddaughter, Delilah Wertish; dad, Jim Wertish of Andover; mom, Pat Wertish of Eden Valley; siblings, Tanya Turnock, Scott Milliman, Matt Milliman, Jason Wertish, Michael Wertish, Mellissa Milliman, Josh Wertish, Brian Briggs, and Jana Wertish; and grandparents, Eileen Willprecht, Edith Flynn, and Leo Wertish.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Briggs.
