Allan Richard Heveron, 83, of Willmar, died Thursday, August 31st at Belgrade Nursing Home in Belgrade. There will be a visitation from 4-6:00 pm, Friday, September 8th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with a Time of Sharing and Prayer at 6:00 pm. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #167. Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org
Allan Richard Heveron was born June 30, 1940, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, the son of Harold “Mike” and Gertrude (Forcier) Heveron. He grew up in Willmar, attended Lincoln Elementary School, Priam and was a member of the Willmar High School class of 1958. Allan enlisted in the United States Army and served until his Honorable Discharge in February 1962.
On October 20, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Gast at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, they lived in the Willmar and Raymond area where he drove gravel truck in the summer and worked at Holiday in the winter. They moved to the Twin Cities, and later to Wisconsin where he was promoted to store manager for Holiday. They returned to Willmar in 1975, retiring after 25 years. In retirement he worked for Orscheln Farm and Home (Runnings) as a Department Head for 20 years before officially retiring.
If Allan wasn’t working, he enjoyed his hobby of collecting and rebuilding old John Deere tractors and wintering in McAllen, Texas.
Surviving are his children, Steven Heveron of Willmar, Marcia (Kevin) Welsh of Spicer, Brian (Christine) Heveron of Green Isle, Bruce (Jenni) Heveron of Brooklyn Center; thirteen grandchildren, Leigh, Megan, Allison, Mariah (David), Noah, Desiree, Jacob (Krista), Amanda, Esmae, Kaile, Patrick, Joey and Jonathon. Eleven great grandchildren, Jayce, Alonzo Jr, Maliq, Symone, Ameliyah, LiLeigh, Landyn, Jackson, Olivia, Callie, Jeremia. Also surviving are his siblings, Janice (Bruce) Adams of Mayer, Sheryl (Steve) Fladeboe of Spicer, sisters-in-law, Cookie Heveron of Spicer, Pat Monson of Willmar, LaVonne Gast of Willmar and brother-in-law, Darvin Gast of Willmar and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, infant son, Richard, both his parents, and his brothers, John “Jack” Heveron and Dale Heveron.
