Ardis L. (Wall) Westhoff

Ardis Westhoff, 99, of Willmar, died Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Compassionate Cottage in Willmar.

Her memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery. A livestream of the service can be found here.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Homes.

Ardis Lucile Westhoff was born October 3, 1926, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Jerdee) Wall.  She grew up in Hayward, Minnesota, attended Hayward Elementary School, and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1944 and the University of Minnesota in 1947.

On December 17, 1949, she was united in marriage to Harold Westhoff at Hayward Lutheran Church. They lived in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Richfield, before moving to Willmar in 1966; she moved to Compassionate Cottage in 2021. Ardy worked part-time as a dental hygienist for Dr. James Michels and Dr. Duane Hanson for 13 years, retiring in 1985.

Ardy was a member of Vinje Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Friendly Visitor Program, Church Council, Esther Circle, and Altar Guild.  She volunteered with the Holiday Fair at Vinje and with Meals on Wheels.  Ardy was also a member of Eagle Creek Golf Club, Round Table Study Club, and Bridge Club.

Ardy is survived by her children: Thomas (Suzette) Westhoff of South Vienna, OH and Nancy (Alan) Loge of Willmar, MN; seven grandchildren: Christopher Westhoff, Steven (and Mallori) Westhoff, Lisa Westhoff, Heather (and Dave) Molascon, Dustin (and Amanda) Loge, Wendy (and Robert) Speary and Mindy (and Seth) Slettedahl; fifteen great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law Fred Montei.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Harold in 2017; and two sisters: Dorothy Croft and Charlotte Montei.
