Ardyce Jean Hegstrom

Ardyce Jean Hegstrom, 83, of Spicer, died Friday, January 10, 2025 at CentraCare Rice Hospital in Willmar. Her memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 18th at Harrison Community Presbyterian Church in Spicer. Visitation will be 4-7:00 pm, Friday at the church with a prayer service starting at 7:00 pm. Her visitation will continue one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at a later date at Spicer City Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred to Harrison Presbyterian Memorial Fund. Her service will be recorded and available to watch at www.hafh.org Arrangements are with Harvey Andreson & Johnson Funeral Home in New London.

Ardyce Jean Hegstrom was born June 24, 1941, to Clarence and Mildred (Bengston) Quisberg in Belgrade. She was baptized and later confirmed at Lebanon Lutheran Church in New London. She grew up in Colfax Township. Ardyce graduated from New London High School in 1959. On May 20, 1961, Ardyce was united in marriage to David Hegstrom at Lebanon Lutheran Church. She worked for Trinity Steel, City of Spicer, Kandiyohi County Health and Human Service and sold Avon products. Ardyce enjoyed being outside where she would garden, go boating and swimming, being with family and friends, going out to eat, watching her grandchildren play sports, and most recently being with her great-grandsons. Ardyce also enjoyed traveling, five years ago she and most of her family traveled to Sweden and Norway for a family reunion. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend.

Ardyce is survived by her children: Steve (Claudia Pilger) Hegstrom of LaCrosse, WI, Lori (Alan) Dietz of Spicer, Dale Hegstrom of New London, and Beth (Erik) Anderson of Spicer; grandchildren: Claire Hegstrom, Emma (Matt) Schiestel, David Hegstrom, Alanna (Jaden) Hunter, Lauren (Grant) Vagle, Robert Hegstrom, Megan Hegstrom; great-grandchildren: Davin and Nolan Hunter, Wren Schiestel, and Ridge Vagle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David on January 5, 1985, parents, sister, Joyce (Robert) Strootman, brother, Daryl Quisberg, brother-in-law, Donavon Johnson; father-in-law, Albert Hegstrom, mother-in-law, Edna (Rodewald) Hegstrom, sister-in-law, Pearl (Gerald) Schroeder, brother-in-law, William (Ione) Hegstrom, brother-in-law, Fredrick Hegstrom, sister-in-law, Doris (Norman) Gronli, nephews, Robert Gronli and Mark Hegstrom.
