Ardyce Shelstad

Ardyce M. Shelstad passed away from cancer on July 15, 2020 in Glenwood, MN.  She was welcomed to heaven by beloved husband, Vernon; only grandson, Jacob Ramirez; parents, Edwin and June; brother, Duane and several in-laws.  She is survived by her daughters Sylvia and Linda, brothers Roland Enkers (Moorhead) and Dale Enkers (IA) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Ardyce was born in Rosholt, SD on 3/21/32.  She married Vernon Shelstad on 8/19/61 in Brooten, MN.  They had two daughters and lived in Columbia Heights for most of their lives, later retiring to Willmar; Ardyce moved to Brooten in 1995 after Vernon's passing.  Ardyce spent her life caring for her loved ones.  She was a woman of few words who embodied a fierce determination and dedication to her family.

Special thanks to the Ruby Ridge team and staff at Glenwood Retirement Village for their loving care the last two years.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 1:00 at West Lake Johanna Church Cemetery in Brooten.  A family reception will be held following the service at the home of Barry Hegg.  Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
