Arnette "Arnie" Sandbo-Hirman, 68, of Willmar, died Saturday, November 2 at Cura of Willmar. Her memorial service will be 11:00 am, Friday, November 22, at Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar. www.hafh.org
Arnette Harriet Sandbo-Hirman was born in Willmar on November 22, 1955, to Henry and Agnes (Bergeson) Sandbo. She was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1973.
Arnie worked for many different businesses around the area including: Willmar Freight, Willmar Manufacturing, Green Lake Bible Camp, and Walmart Liquor.
On September 16, 2000, Arnie was united in marriage Randy Hirman at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Together they spent 24 years in Willmar.
Arnie was an active member in the Minnesota Democratic Party (DFL). She was passionate about political issues; registering voters, pushing for gender equality, and other important activities.
Arnie enjoyed watching The View, flowers, sitting on her patio, visiting and talking with friends and animals, especially her black labs. She will be remembered for her outgoing, friendly personality, and as “Wonderful Aunt.”
She is survived by her husband, Randy; nieces and nephews: Dan (Lisa) Krier, Michael Krier (Marcus Arvellos), Anne Krier, Amy (Jason) Stratton, and Molly Torres.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Arlene Krier and Arlys Shogren; and her aunt Alice Sandbo.
