Arthur “Art” Wilbur Rosenau was born January 19, 1929, to John and Mayme Rosenau in Truman, Minnesota, along with his twin sister, Arline.

Art was married to LaVonne (Steinke) Hentges of Minneapolis in 1964 after her move to Willmar with her children: Charlene, John, Wayne and Sandra. Three additional children: Marie, Carol and Nancy, were born of their 51 year marriage.

Art grew up in a farming family in Truman and actively served in the Army at Fort Hood, TX, during the Korean War as a helicopter mechanic.  After his discharge, Art served in the National Guard and farmed in the Willmar area. Upon his marriage to LaVonne, he changed vocations and was a family mover, eventually managing VanOrt Moving & Storage in Willmar for many years. He became known to many families in the area for his dedication to doing quality work -- often moving the same family several times throughout the years.

Art was also a founding member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Willmar and was active for many years on the church council and strategic planning committee.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and some of his favorite memories were fishing trips to Canada with his sons.

Art is survived by stepdaughter, Charlene (and Andrew) Hentges of Faribault; stepson Wayne Hentges of Burnsville; stepdaughter Sandra (and Donald) Kasparek of Faribault; daughter Marie Hardy of Sammamish, Washington; daughter Carol (and Brad) Hanson of Willmar; daughter Nancy Rosenau of Manitou Springs, Colorado; sister Leona (Rosenau) Kruger of Glenwood; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Art is also survived by sister-in-law Lois (Steinke) Henkel of Zimmerman; and brother-in-law Courtney Steinke of North Branford, CT.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LaVonne; stepson, John Hentges; brother Arnold Rosenau; twin sister, Arline (Rosenau) Woltjer; father-in-law and mother-in-law Otto and Emma Steinke; brother-in-law Warren Steinke; and sister-in-law Marion (Steinke) Westerlund.
