Audrey R. Thorson, 88 of New London, died Friday, February 28, 2025 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were made with Johnson Funeral Home of New London.
Audrey Ruby Pehan was born on April 22, 1936, in Glenwood, Minnesota, to Lloyd and Ruby (Reed) Pehan. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1954. On June 16, 1954, Audrey married Kenneth Thorson at Glenwood Lutheran Church, and together they settled on his family farm. Audrey cherished her role as a farm wife and took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren. In her later years, she worked as a Personal Care Assistant at Glen Oaks in New London. Audrey had a genuine care for others and loved forming friendships.
Audrey was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake. She enjoyed shopping and took pride in her appearance.
She is survived by her children, Sherry (David) Ulman, Dan (Cheryl) Thorson, Sheila Holme (Mary Jane Schmitz), and Dean (Lori) Thorson; nine grandchildren, Hailey (Allen) Antonson, Collin Thorson, Melissa (Jeff) Steinhaus, Brandon Thorson, Andrew Thorson, Shay (Tyler) Bendickson, Mallory Holme, Molly Holme, and Sig Holme; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Leroy (Diane) Pahan, Curtis (Bonnie) Pahan, Lloyd “Bugs” (Kathy) Pahan, and Linda (Jerry) Rupert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; brother, David Pehan; and brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Annette Geer.
