Bonnie L. Lindquist

Bonnie Lou Lindquist, 86, of New London, died Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Bethesda in Willmar.

Her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, at Evangelical Covenant Church in New London. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Bonnie Lou Renquist was born on October 5, 1939, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Albert and Anna (Benjamin) Renquist. She grew up in Braham and Minneapolis graduating from Braham High School.

On April 26, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to Willard Lindquist in Braham. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. In 1965, the couple moved to New London, where they became active and well-known members of the community.

Bonnie worked alongside Willard after they purchased the Texaco Station in New London. She wore many hats in the business, helping with parts, pumping gas, and taking on countless other tasks wherever she was needed. She also worked for a few years as a sales associate at The Big Store and Herberger's. Bonnie was an excellent bowler and participated in a bowling league for more than 40 years.

A devoted member of Evangelical Covenant Church in New London for over 60 years, Bonnie generously shared her time by teaching Sunday school and serving her church in many ways. Bonnie was a Girl Scout troop leader, volunteered whenever there was a need, and found great joy in helping others. Her passion for people was evident in every aspect of her life.

Family was especially important to Bonnie. She was a loving wife, mother, and a wonderful grandmother who cherished every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Willard Lindquist; children, Sherri (Todd) Stenberg, Mark (Jacky) Lindquist, and Chris (Diane) Lindquist; nine grandchildren, Megan (Lee) Mayer, Cortney (Grant) Miller, Matthew (Jessica) Stenberg, Brandon (Andrea) Lindquist, Mitchell Holthaus, Brady (Holly Kern) Lindquist, Zach Stenberg, Kali Holthaus, and Jamie Holthaus; and five great-grandchildren, Grady Miller, Kiley Miller, Talia Mayer, Louisa Mayer, and Ingrid Stenberg.  

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials preferred to New London Evangelical Covenant Church or the charity of the giver’s choice.
