Bonnie Muller was born on October 18, 1944, to Olga Dingwall in Minneapolis. Her family later moved to Lowry to be closer to relatives. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1962 and went on to attend Willmar Vo-Tech, earning her accounting degree in 1964.
On October 15, 1966, Bonnie married Leon Muller at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. After their wedding, they lived in Alaska and Texas while Leon served in the military until 1968. They then settled in Alexandria, where Bonnie ran an in-home daycare—a role she truly cherished. In 1978, the family moved to Willmar, and Bonnie began her long career at the Bank of Willmar (Bremer Bank), where she was known for her warm smile and kind presence. She retired in 2016 after nearly 40 years of service.
Bonnie was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and especially enjoyed decorating for the Advent Festival. She also served as a Cub Scout den mother and was deeply involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She rarely missed a sporting event and was always their biggest supporter. Bonnie treasured time with her family, particularly during Christmas. She also loved baking, crafting, and cross-stitching.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Todd (Chris) Muller of Willmar and Stephanie (Adam) Slagter of Roseland; her grandchildren, Ben (Taylor Kappel) Muller, Ellie (Aaron) Johnson, Josie (Duncan) Pease, Noah (Erica) Slagter, and Callie (fiancé, Jacob Rosendahl) Slagter; and her siblings, Jane Dingwall and Betty (Jerry) Cronen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, and her mother, Olga.
