Calvin Verhoeff, 68, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2025, after a battle with cancer. His visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, January 28, at Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade. His prayer service will be at 4:30pm. Burial will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 29, at United Methodist Cemetery in Belgrade. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.
Calvin was born March 23, 1956, to Albert and Elaine (Jensen) Verhoeff. Calvin was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Belgrade High School in 1974. After high school, Calvin joined the Air Force being honorably discharged in 1980. Calvin spent many years driving truck over the road, before making his home in Wood, SD in 2006, where he worked as a ranch hand until moving back to Minnesota in 2022.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elaine (Jensen) Verhoeff; brother, Forrest Verhoeff; and niece, Melissa Basore.
He is survived by his sisters: Doreen Kiken of Litchfield,MN, Barbara Jensen of Grove City, MN; brother, Gary Verhoeff (fiancée, Jeannie Hoverud) of Belgrade, MN; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
