Carley L. (Langmo) Braband, 90, of Willmar, died Monday, April 26th at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Her funeral will be 1:30 pm, Friday, May 7th at United Methodist Church in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Carley was born May 25, 1930, in Byron, Minnesota, the daughter of Kenneth and Sara (Parks) Langmo. Her family lived in Byron, Hutchinson and Mankato communities before settling in St. Peter where she graduated from high school in 1948. She continued to learn by attending Hostess School, graduating in 1949.
On May 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Martin Braband at LeSeuer Methodist Church. Following their marriage, they remained in St. Peter until moving to Willmar.
Carley was a member of United Methodist Church in Willmar where she was active with the Ladies Bazaar/workshop, circle, Sunday School, and other church committees and activities.
Carley was an avid Minnesota Twins fan no matter their record. She loved baking including cinnamon rolls, lefsa, fresh bread, cookies and angel food cake from scratch. If you were lucky enough to know Carley, you would receive a frosted angel food cake for your birthday. Carley loved traveling, serving others including meals-on-wheels and volunteering with oncology and hospice. She loved her family, her daily coffee time with her brother Jim, playing a variety of games and cards, a good laugh, and her faith/church.
Surviving are her brother, James (and Edna) Langmo of Willmar and several nieces and nephews who were like her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Martin; and siblings, Keith and Kenneth Langmo.
