Carol Anne Broman, 77, of Spicer, died Friday, August 2nd at Carris Health Therapy Suites in Willmar. Her memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Monday, August 5th at the United Methodist Church in Willmar. Visitation will be from 1-3:00 pm, Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in rural Kandiyohi. Carol Anne Broman was born to Lyman and Anna (Hill) Campbell on March 22, 1942, on the family farm near Hector. She attended Country School District 100 and later graduated from Bird Island High School in 1960. She furthered her education at Rice Hospital Nursing School in 1961. Following her schooling she worked as a nurse for three years. On August 15, 1964, Carol was united in marriage to Roland “Shorty” Broman at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bird Island. Following their marriage, Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. Carol and Shorty were members at United Methodist Church where she was active in the church circle and church bazaar. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, bowling, cooking, gardening, going to plays with Michele, and watching her grandson’s baseball games. Carol and Shorty would drive to Branson twice a year to take in the shows. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma.
Carol is survived by her husband, Roland “Shorty” Broman of Spicer; children: Mike (Kathy) Broman of Willmar and Michele Broman of Willmar; two grandsons: Bryce (fiancé, Lexi Dahlberg) and Jonathan Broman. She is also survived by her brother, Dean (Jean) Campbell of Bird Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Joan Campbell, step-dad, Thomas Carey, mother and father-in-law, Abner and Marjorie Broman, and nieces Pamela (Broman) Larson and Lynette (Campbell) Bogar.
