Carol J Dahlke

Carol Jeanette Dahlke, 84, of Raymond, died Friday, August 21st at St. Cloud Hospital. Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 29th at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm, Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Raymond. Carol Jeanette Dahlke was born April 16, 1936, to George Franklin and Lila Goldie (McFerran) Dunlavy in Watertown, SD. Carol and her family lived in Watertown until 1951, when they moved to a farm south of Priam. She was baptized on April 13, 1941 and later confirmed on March 30, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Raymond. Carol graduated from Raymond High School in 1954. On November 15, 1957, Carol was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Dahlke at Raymond Methodist Church. To this union, three children were born. Carol and Bob lived on the family farm north of Raymond where they worked and raised their family. Carol worked as a bookkeeper in the Raymond Schools for 36 years, retiring in 2007. Carol was known for her cooking and baking. Her specialties were baked beans, queso dip, pumpkin bars, doughnuts, and rhubarb slush. Carol would often try new recipes and if she and her family liked it enough it would get laminated and placed in her recipe book. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, mowing, giving her grandchildren golf cart rides, and going to their sporting and school events. Carol also enjoyed going to Thursday coffee at McMillians with her friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mom, granny and great-grandma.

She is survived by her children: Wayne (Kelly) Dahlke of Raymond, Tamera (Joe) Siedow of Shakopee, and Jeffrey (Kathy) Dahlke of Raymond; grandchildren: Josh (Adriana), Nick, Jessica (Trevor), Colin (Betsy), Ashley (Mike), Jackson, Addilyn and Gracie; great-grandchildren: Blake, Lucas, Harper, Sawyer, Aliyah, Mason, Madon and Iver; and sister, DeEtta (Robert) Scheltens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert and sister LaDonna Groen.
