Carol A (Pfau) Evans

Carol A. Evans, 63 of Bird Island, died Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Olivia Hospital in Olivia.  A memorial service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Johnson Funeral Home in New London.    

Carol Ann Evans was born on March 29, 1962 in Sidney, Montana, the daughter of Joseph and Cecelia (Fischer) Pfau.  She grew up in Sidney where she attended Sidney High School, graduating in 1980.  She worked for the South 40 Restaurant in Sidney starting in high school and for several years after before working for the Mini-Mart.  On June 2nd 1989 she was united in marriage to Bill Evans. They made their home in Sidney and later Fairview before they divorced.

In May 1997, Carol suffered a brain aneurysm that took several years to recover from and left her with some disabilities.  She was a current resident of MBW in Bird Island. 

Carol is remembered for her unconditional love for her family and friends, fun personality, infectious laugh, smile and wit, who always kept her sense of humor through her challenges.  She was a master in the kitchen, crafting unforgettable holiday feasts, whirling together a hodge podge of casseroles and always providing her children with an incredible afternoon treat when they were young.  She is a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed.  Her love will live on through cherished memories.

Carol is survived by her children, Sarah Pfau, Billy Evans, Karen Evans and John (Pammie) Aldrich; four grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Timothy (Deborah) Pfau and Tony (Shannon) Pfau. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas and Ted and numerous aunts and uncles.
