Carol M. (Stager) Harguth

Carol M. Harguth, 89, of Clara City, passed away Thursday, January 9th.  There will be visitation Saturday, August 15th, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Harvey Anderson Clara City Funeral Home in Clara City followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm at St. Clara’s Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to M.S. Society, 2829 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.

Carol Maxine was born May 3, 1930, in Clara City, the 3rd of 14 children, of Henry and Lena (Eckhoff) Stager.  In 1948 she married Cecil Harguth.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, baking, playing cards, and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her children: Randy (and Jovita) Harguth, Nancy Thissen, both of Clara City and Jane (Richard) Groothuis of Maynard; eight grandchildren, Beth, Katheryn, Angie, Troy, Stacy, Danielle, Holly and Hilary and nine great grandchildren.  Also surviving are her siblings: Velma, Ron, Jimmy, Bob, Lenore, Connie, Dorinda, and Don.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil, and siblings: Leslie, Charlie, Henry, Ruby Ann, Chester, and son-in-law, Mark Thissen.
