Carol Ann Nelson was born on August 22, 1935, in Willmar, MN, the daughter of Emil A. and Pearl (Berglund) Nelson. She grew up in Willmar, where she attended Garfield Elementary and Willmar High School, graduating in 1953. Carol was first employed by the Great Northern Railway in Willmar. Carol was a great aunt to her nieces and nephews. She spent a lot of time helping them with many projects like painting, cleaning, and babysitting. She never left their homes without dusting first. Carol also enjoyed many fun travel adventures with friends and family to Jamacia, Mexico, Hawaii, Florida, New York, Massachusetts, Germany, and many, many weekend getaways to her nieces’ resorts.
In 2020, Carol moved to Compassionate Cottages where she made many new friends with the staff and continued to enjoy helping them with their projects, yes…..still dusting, word/jigsaw puzzles and knitting. Carol continued to share her ever loving quick wit and good humor with everyone.
She is survived by her brother, Clifford (Joanne) Nelson of Coon Rapids; sister, Jeanette (Philip) Fauchald of New London; sister, Sharon (Myles) Bredeson of Willmar; brother, Gary (Linda) Nelson of Andover; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
