Carol “Carrie” M. Kliber, 41, of New London, died Friday, June 5, 2020, at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Harbor Church in rural Spicer. Friends can attend a live videocast at https://www.facebook.com/harbormn/. Carol “Carrie” Mae Kliber was born August 12, 1978, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Oscar Schaeffer and Carol and Gerald DeGeest. Carrie grew up in New London, where she attended elementary school and graduated from New London-Spicer High School with the Class of 1997. After high school, Carried went on to Ridgewater College in Willmar, where she earned her Associate Degree.  

On May 13, 2000, Carrie was united in marriage to Kurt Kliber at Paynesville Lutheran Church in Paynesville. This union was blessed with three sons. The family made their home in New London. Carrie was proud to teach her boys from home as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of The Harbor Church in rural Spicer. Carrie volunteered there as a Sunday and Wednesday religious education teacher, and a member of the church council. Carrie loved to read the Bible, make crafts, and cook. Above all else, Carrie loved her family and spending time with them. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, spiritual leader, and friend to all that knew here.  

Carrie Kliber died Friday, June 5, 2020, following a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Kurt; sons, Kyle -18, Connor-16, and Caden-12; parents, Carol and Jerry DeGeest of Spicer; sister, Tammy (Torry) Johnson of Belgrade; brothers, Christopher (fiancée, Paula Dixon) Schaeffer, and Joseph (Sheryl) Schaeffer of Spicer; many nieces, and nephews.  

Carries was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Schaeffer, and her grandparents.
