Carolyn Diane (Bredeson) Agre

Carolyn Diane Agre, 81, of New London, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at Cura of Willmar.

Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, at Peace Lutheran Church in New London, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery in Clara City. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Homes, www.hafh.org.

Carolyn was born November 24, 1943, in Sacred Heart, Minnesota, the daughter of Otis and Tille (Dannen) Bredeson. At the age of four, she moved with her family to a farm west of Willmar, where she grew up. She attended school in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1960.

On December 1, 1961, Carolyn was united in marriage to Wayne Agre at Bethany Church in Clara City. Together they made their home on farms in the Clara City area, where Carolyn worked as office manager for Cenex for 36 years. Later in her career, she also served as an insurance agent with Aflac. In 2001, Carolyn and Wayne moved to their home on Norway Lake near New London. They also wintered in Arizona for 25 years.

Faith, family and community were important to Carolyn. She was a member of Bethany Church while living in Clara City and later of Peace Lutheran Church in New London. She was also active in the New London Lions Club for many years. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, hunting, and playing golf at Little Crow Country Club. Her passion was spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wayne; brothers, Dennis (Ruthie) Bredeson and Leon (Karen) Bredeson; brother-in-law, Joel Van Engen; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sam Van Engen.
