Cheryl "Cheri" J. (Martinson) Pinske

Cheryl J. Pinske, 68, of Paynesville, died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Koronis Manor in Paynesville.  Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Paynesville Lutheran Church in Paynesville. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville and for one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be in Eden Lake Cemetery in Eden Valley. 

Cheryl Jean Pinske was born on June 2, 1954, the daughter of Russell and Marion (Lindquist) Martinson.  She grew up in Minneapolis and attended Edison High School, graduating in 1972.  On April 6, 1974, Cheryl was united in marriage to Ken Pinske at St. Matthew Episcopal Church in Minneapolis.  This union was blessed with one son, Aaron.  They made their home in Fergus Falls and Paynesville and later divorced.  While living in Paynesville, Cheryl owned and operated Wagon Wheel Nursery and worked as a manager for a video store.  She was a member of Paynesville Lutheran Church where she was active in bible study.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, book club, and birthday club with friends. 

Cheryl  is survived by her son, Aaron; siblings, Russ (Donna) Martinson, Patty Magnusson and Colleen and (Phil) Lundholm; former husband, Ken and numerous nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her parents.
