Constance Peterson

Connie R. Peterson, 76, of Kerkhoven, died Sunday, April 5th at Carris Health Care Center in Willmar. Her memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Kerkhoven Funeral Home. www.hafh.org

Constance Ramona Peterson was born to Oscar and Lillian (Johnson) Mellgren on August 11, 1943, in Benson. She was baptized at home and confirmed at Frank Lake Lutheran Church. Connie attended Country School 40 West before graduating from Kerkhoven High School in 1961. On May 25th, 1963, Connie was united in marriage to Gordon Peterson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooten. To this union two daughters were born: Melissa and Beth. Connie and Gordon lived in Bloomington, Prior Lake and eventually moved back to Kerkhoven where they made their home. Connie started working at Dave’s Family Foods where she continued to work for 30 years! Connie was a loving wife, mom, grandma and friend.

Connie is survived by her husband: Gordon Peterson of Kerkhoven; daughters: Melissa (Deb Kahle) Peterson of Hutchinson, and Beth (Bobby) Paulson of Winthrop; grandchildren: Ashley (Zach) Roth, Lillian Paulson and Kenneth Paulson. She is also survived by her siblings: Merle Mellgren of Glencoe, Dean Mellgren of Kerkhoven, Gene (Ethel) Mellgren of St. Louis Park and Thelma Estby of Delano.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Alfred, Dale, Delores, Vivian and Elenore.
