Corey R. Radunz, 38, of Willmar, died Friday, March 17, 2023, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. His funeral service will be at 3:00pm on Friday, March 31st at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, with a visitation one hour prior to his service. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, Willmar. www.hafh.org
Corey Ronald Radunz was born on April 14, 1984, in Hutchinson, the son of Ronald and Theresa (McKenzie) Radunz. The following year, he moved with his family to rural Willmar, was baptized at St. Mary’s Church, and attended Willmar Public Schools. At a young age, Corey enjoyed playing sports, eventually settling on hockey as a favorite that he played throughout high school. Following high school, he worked various jobs in construction, landscaping, tile work, and maintenance. Most recently, Corey was managing and maintaining two laundromats in Marshall.
In his free time, Corey enjoyed watching sports. He was a big Vikings fan and also enjoyed watching the Wild and various basketball teams. He spent time fishing and working on cars. He was known as a “handy-man” and could fix anything. Corey was a hard worker and was passionate about helping others. He had an energetic and fun personality in which kids and pets were easily drawn to.
Surviving are his children, whom he held close to his heart; parents, Ron and Theresa Radunz of New London; sister, Melissa (Mike) Lamoureux of St. Cloud; brother, Kyle (Trista) Radunz of Spicer; nieces and nephew: Taylor Lamoureux and Broc Gravley, McKenna and Brinley Radunz; several aunts, uncles, cousins, among other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rolland “Bud” and Marlene Radunz, and Gerald “Jerry” and Judy McKenzie.
