Dale S. Evenson

Dale S. Evenson, 74 of Belgrade, died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.  Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Crow River Lutheran Church Cemetery.   Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home.     

Dale Sidney Evenson was born on November 14, 1946 in Belgrade, the son of Peter and Cora (Fronvold) Evenson.  He was baptized, confirmed and life member of Crow River Lutheran Church. He attended country grade school and Belgrade High School.  He entered the US Army on March 9, 1966, where he served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on February 17, 1968.  He returned to the area where he made his home in Sunburg, working in road construction and as a truck driver.  In retirement he lived in Spicer and recently became a resident of Belgrade Nursing Home.      

Dale is survived by son, Terry Swenson; brother, David (Yvonne) Evenson of Desert Hot Springs, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by daughter, Susan Swenson; parents; six brothers, Phillip, Eugene, Richard, Kenneth, Marshall and Charles and two sisters, Margaret Niewenhuis and Glenora Flaten
