David Dean Forsman, 60, of Murdock, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. His funeral will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, November 16th at Kerkhoven Lutheran Church in Kerkhoven. Interment will be in Monson Lake Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sunburg. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 pm at Harvey Anderson Kerkhoven Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. www.hafh.org
David was born April 15, 1961, in Willmar, the son of Harry and Phyllis (Lonning) Forsman. He grew up on the farm in Hayes Township and graduated from KMS High School in 1979. Following graduation, he farmed with his parents and uncle Stanley.
On June 2, 1984, he was united in marriage to Rose Stans at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. Following their marriage, they lived in Kerkhoven for two years before moving back into the country where they have farmed and run David Forsman Custom Harvesting.
He was baptized and confirmed at Monson Lake Lutheran Church where he was a lifetime member. His family remembers his true love of farming, custom harvesting and working in his shop, fixing and building just about anything. David will be remembered for many different things with two of the most being “talking on the phone” and being always willing to help anyone at any time. His true love was his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Rose; daughters: Sarah (and Karl) Holtkamp of Kerkhoven, Kayla (and Nick) Golden of Montevideo, Jaci (and Jordan) Hennes of Kerkhoven and Ashley Forsman of Benson; nine grandchildren: Abby, Jake, Emily, Libby, and Adam Holtkamp, Riley and Braden Gades, and Addilyn and Logan Hennes; siblings: Mark Forsman of Eagle Bend, Judy (and Terry) Steidl of Alexandria and Steve (and Deb) Forsman of Hayward, WI, and niece and nephews: Cassie, Derek, Josh and Sam,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Phyllis, uncle Stan and other close family.
