Dolores Youngren, 96, of Spicer, MN, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Olivia Healthcare Center in Olivia, MN.

A celebration of her life will be 1-4 pm Sunday, June 26, with a time of sharing at 2:30 pm at Youngren Dairy, 10121 120th St NW, Pennock. Memorials are preferred to Mamrelund Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice.

Dolores Irene Youngren was born January 27, 1926 in Staples, Minnesota, the daughter of Clyde and Rose (Wallenberg) Bryan. She grew up in the Staples area and the family moved to Willmar, Minnesota, where she attended high school. She graduated from Willmar High School, Litchfield Teacher Training and St. Cloud State University. She taught in country schools and finished her teaching career with the Headstart Early Childhood Program.

Dolores married Don Youngren on June 27, 1948. They resided on a farm near Pennock in Mamre Township where they raised their family, Wendy, Michael and Dean. She was involved in the farm operation until she passed away. She delivered meals to the fields during the harvest time to family and friends, even up until this past year. Don “the love of her life” passed in 1988. She moved to Lake Florida permanently in 1999. It was here she continued to enjoy entertaining her family and friends over the years. Family, friends and her faith were important to her. She and Don joined Mamrelund Lutheran Church in 1948 and were active in many areas of the church over the years. She loved crossword puzzles, travel, reading and her special relationships with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by her three children: Wendy (Russ) Haber of Sonoma, CA, Michael and Dean of Pennock, MN; four grandchildren: Trevin (Katie) Youngren of Pennock, MN, Meghan Youngren of St. Paul, MN, Hilary Haber (Austin Quinn) of Boston, MA and Paige Haber of Minneapolis, MN; four great-grandchildren: Kendra, Drew, April and Ethan. Her brother Jerry (Shirley) Bryan of Oceanside, CA; and other relatives.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Don and her sister Jayne (Bryan) Darrow.
