Donald G. Anderson

Donald G. Anderson, 86 of Spicer, died Sunday, May 21, 2023 at GlenOaks Care Center in New London.  Memorial services will be 2:00 pm. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to your local food shelf.

Donald George Anderson was born on September 8, 1936 in Minneapolis, the son of George and Helen (Pearson) Anderson.  He grew up in Minneapolis, attended Roosevelt High school, graduating in 1954.  On March 23, 1978, Don was united in marriage to Kathleen Tollefson in Maple Grove.  They made their home in Maple Grove where he worked in sales for LaHass Manufacturing.  They moved to Spicer in 1988 and he worked as a designer for J Craft in Kimball and also was self-employed truck body designer. 

Don was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer.  He enjoyed spending time on his farm, bicycling, and Hallmark movies. 

Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathleen; children, Randy (Bea) Anderson, Debbie (Lon) McClelland, Jeff (Beth) Anderson and Paul (Tracey) Anderson; Kathleen’s children, Sherri Johnson, James (Kelly) Pappin and Nancy (Bob) Furry; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
