Donna Jean (Reisenbigler) Bauer

Donna Jean Bauer, 81, of New London, died Saturday, October 19th at Belgrade Nursing Home in Belgrade.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 22nd at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Spicer with visitation one hour prior to the mass.  Interment will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 23rd in Britton Cemetery, Britton, South Dakota.  Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home, New London. www.hafh.org Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.  The funeral will be livestreamed via:https://www.ourlivingwater.org/donnabauer.html

Born on March 16, 1943, in Madelia Village, Watonwan County, Minnesota, Donna was the daughter of Lyle and Rachel (Graham) Reisenbigler and graduated from Mankato High School in 1961. On April 17, 1967, she married Harold Bauer at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saint Clair. Their life together included several moves due to Harold's work as a civil service employee, living in various locations including Wahpeton and Langdon, ND, Cheyenne, WY, Rapid City, SD, Anchorage, AK, and Puyallup, WA, before retiring and settling in New London in 2002.

Donna had a passion for sewing, crocheting, puzzles, gardening, and canning. She was known for her baking and cherished time spent with her family, including her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; daughters, Carol (Steve) Ratajczak, Rhonda (Donald) Drake, and Kathryn Myers; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Patricia Carlson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Kate Bauer; brothers,  Jerome and Thomas; sister, Helen Kalis, and great-granddaughter, Audrey Drake.
