Doris Ann Frass was born on November 12, 1957 in Watertown SD, the daughter of Michael and Rosalia Frass. As a little girl, Doris and her family moved to Morris, MN and in 1975 moved to Willmar. Doris graduated in 1976 from Willmar Senior High School. She went on to work at Bethesda Nursing Home as a Nursing Assistant where she earned her Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel Certificate. Doris worked for 27 years until her retirement from Bethesda. She loved working with the elderly. She cared for them as if they were her own; they were her second family. She later worked at Family Dollar for 15 years.
Doris had a zest for life, she crocheted, read (James Patterson books were her favorite), worked on puzzles and dreamt of going to Paris one day. Doris loved to dance, she could shake it with the best of them. She enjoyed country music, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Doris loved to travel; Hawaii, San Francisco, Nebraska and local bus tours throughout the state.
Doris’ children were her cats; Zeke, Toby, Lola, Lizzy, and Gracie. They were very spoiled.
Doris is survived by family and friends who cared for her and her cat, Gracie, who will remain with family.
Doris died peacefully at Good Shepherd Nursing Home after a long illness. She was well cared for by staff and we are grateful for them.
