Eileen Lundquist Obituary

Eileen Lundquist, 82, of Willmar, passed away surrounded by family Sunday May 25th at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday June 5th at Assembly of God in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Homes.

Pearl Eileen Lundquist was born March 17, 1943, in Denver, CO. She was the fourth out of six children born to James and Pearl (Trout) Thompson. During her childhood Eileen and her family moved frequently. Eileen graduated from Willmar High School in 1961. On September 29, 1961, Eileen was united in marriage to James Lundquist at Willmar Assembly of God. Eileen was an active member of the women's ministry for many years, she taught doctrine, enjoyed decorating the church as well helping at the Lake Geneva Bible Camp in Alexandria. Eileen had a passion for decorating and was able to share this passion with the community after opening Lundquist Fine Furnishings with Jim. In her home life Eileen loved decorating her home for each season as well as hosting family get togethers. She was a gourmet chef who enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends; her ostkaka was a holiday staple. Eileen enjoyed horseback riding, gardening and most of all spending time with family. Eileen was a loving wife, mom, grandma sister and friend that will be dearly missed.

Eileen is Survived by her husband James; daughters Peggy (David) Friehl and Kristen (Matthew) Nelson both of Willmar; grandchildren: Briana (Chris) Wilcox, Jake (Katie) Friehl, Gabriel Nelson, Samantha Friehl, Abram Nelson, Eliah Nelson, Julia (Josh) Hayes, Zach Friehl, Jamin Nelson, and Jack Lundquist; as well as six great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by her siblings; Bernard (Faith) Thompson and Linda Knutson; sisters-in-law: Rosie Thompson and Sue Thompson and daughter-in-law: Sofia Lundquist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tim Lundquist; and siblings: Gene Thompson, Mary (Ray) Hillstrom and Boyd Thompson and brother-in-law, Jim Knutson.
