In 1956 she graduated from Hoffman High School. In January of 1959, she married her love, (Delmore) Lyle Moe. Elaine was a favorite “Lunch Lady” at the Willmar Area Schools! She was a staunch believer in donating blood and donated over 14 gallons. She loved to refinish antiques and could take a homely piece of furniture and make it beautiful. She also had, and gave many, made with love, afghans. Elaine enjoyed fishing, going to auctions (collecting over 100 brass bells), tending to her garden, and of course, her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristel (Reed) Hammerschmidt and grandson, Zach of Prior Lake, sister, Jane Lordalen of Minneapolis, and special friend, Marge Gritzke of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyle; son, Todd, and brothers-in-law, Roger (Grace) Moe and David Moe.
