Elizabeth Beiler, 78, of Grove City, died Friday, January 3rd at the St. Cloud Hospital. Her funeral service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 7th at Evangelical Free Church in Paynesville. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, and one hour prior to the service all at the church. Burial will be at Burr Oak Cemetery in rural Grove City. Elizabeth Yoder was born on May 11, 1946, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to John and Mary (Miller) Yoder. Her family moved to Michigan before settling in Grove City, where Elizabeth attended Grove City Schools. On August 1, 1970, she married Melvin Beiler, together, they were blessed with five children: Steve, Lisa, Rachel, Miriam, and Jethro, and made their home on the family farm in Grove City.
Elizabeth devoted many years to being a homemaker and caring for her children. She was well-known for preparing delicious meals and being a gracious host. Above all, Elizabeth was a woman of deep faith. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and served Him faithfully, and eagerly encouraged others to follow Christ. She was a woman of prayer and loved reading the Scriptures. As a pastor’s wife, she faithfully supported her husband in ministry and was his encourager. As an active member of Believers Fellowship Church in Grove City, she offered counsel and encouragement to many over the years. She had a passion for gardening, preparing food, serving others, and cherishing her family.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Melvin; children: Steve (Ellen), Lisa (Les), Rachel (Titus), Miriam (Jarrod), Jethro (Rosie); grandchildren: Darin (Angela), Amy (Steven), Jeremy, Brandon (Jenna), Mariucz, Kadafi, Travis, Patrick (Summer), Jordan (Lyndsay), Haley (Noah), Lucas, Kaitlynn, Noah, Mia, Bruce; and great-grandchildren: Grayson, Palmer, Cameron, Elliot, and Bennett. She is also survived by her siblings: Orpha, Ruth (Richard), Rueben (Mary Ann), Simon (Ruth), Nathan (Doris), John, Mark (Ruth). She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Esther.
