Elva M. (Hubin) Hinrichs

Elva M. Hinrichs, 86, of Clara City, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Clara City Care Center. Her funeral will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 13th at Bethany Church in Clara City with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Kerkhoven.  Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home.  www.hafh.org

Elva was born August 29, 1939, in Maynard, Minnesota, the daughter of Garreth and Jennie (Caspers) Hubin. Elva grew up in the Maynard community, where she graduated from Maynard High School with the Class of 1958.  Seeking to deepen her faith and knowledge, she went on to continue her education at St. Paul Bible College.

On July 17, 1981, Elva was united in marriage to Wilbert Hinrichs in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Clara City, where they shared many wonderful years together. Elva was a dedicated worker, spending several years employed at Jennie-O and Micro Dynamics, from which she eventually retired.  Wilbert preceded her in death on January 17, 2011.

A woman of deep conviction, Elva was a faithful and devoted member of Bethany Church. She attended services regularly and took great pride in raising her children in a loving, Christian home. Her family will forever cherish her legacy of faith and devotion.

Surviving are her children, Scott (Monique) Dorow of Eldora, IA; Jorene (John) Timmons of Kerkhoven and Alan (Kathi) Dorow of Roy, WA; whom she shared with their late father, Donald Dorow; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Also surviving are her siblings, Wayne (Rose) Hubin of Watertown, MN; Gary Hubin of Casper, WY and Corene (Dave) Jensen of Kerkhoven, MN.

Besides Wilbert, she was preceded in death by her parents, Garreth and Jennie Hubin.
